Hi I'm Rosie, the artist behind Otti!

About me
Hello, I’m Rosie – the artist behind Otti!

Otti began as a lockdown hobby and has since grown into a creative passion that I weave into my work life. Working from my Brighton studio, I use needle punch and rug tufting to craft unique, textured pieces that celebrate colour, joy, and the beauty of handmade design.

For me, needle punch started as a mindful, meditative craft, each stitch slowly building something special. As my work evolved, I began experimenting with rug tufting, allowing me to create bigger, bolder designs while keeping that wonderfully fluffy, tactile finish.

My inspiration comes from the world around me, the rolling Sussex landscapes, the seaside, and the vibrant energy of Brighton. Whether it’s a cheeky seagull rug, or a bespoke piece capturing a special place or memory, my goal is always to make something that brings warmth and happiness into a home.

You can find my work at artists’ fairs, and now in my studio at Gallery 19a, where I’m so excited to be part of a fantastic creative community.

Commissions
I love working with people to create one of a kind pieces that bring colour, texture and warmth into their homes. Many people come to me with a memory of a place, person or animal that’s special to them, and together we turn that story into a unique design. Whether you’d like a custom cushion, wall hanging or rug, each piece is thoughtfully designed and handmade in my Brighton studio using my hand-tufted and needle-punched techniques. If you’d like to chat about an idea or see what’s possible, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
